Stacy Blain, PhD, Founder and CEO of Concarlo Therapeutics
Dr. Blain is an internationally known expert in cell cycle and cancer biology and is one of the world's experts on p27Kip1. She has been studying cell cycle regulation for more than 30 years as an NIH-funded investigator and was a tenured Associate Professor at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She founded Concarlo Therapeutics, capitalizing on discoveries she had made and patented. Concarlo is focused on the potential of p27 targeting and its unique ability to inhibit the three main drivers of cancer progression and drug resistance, CDK4/6 and CDK2, in order to finally change outcomes for women with metastatic breast cancer. She was trained at Princeton, Columbia, and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Apoorva Chaloori, Senior Associate, Life Sciences Investor Relations at ICR Healthcare, Moderator
Apoorva Chaloori is a Senior Investor Relations Associate at ICR Healthcare, where she serves as a liaison between biopharma leaders and the Wall Street ecosystem, bridging science and capital. She translates complex scientific, clinical, and regulatory strategy into clear narratives that position pipelines and milestones for the investment community. She has also worked across medical affairs, clinical operations, and corporate communications, contributing to initiatives that advanced medicine development, strengthened launch readiness, and promoted equity in global clinical trials. Drawing on her public health foundation, she spotlights inequalities and connects ideas across science and society, shaping narratives that spark solutions-oriented discussions and move conversations forward.
Anya Harry, MD, PhD, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at West Pharmaceutical Services
Dr. Anya Harry currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at West Pharmaceutical Services. With more than 25 years of experience spanning roles as a physician, a drug and device regulator at the FDA, and a leader in the pharmaceutical and packaging industry, Dr. Harry spearheads the Applied Research and Clinical Affairs team at West, focusing on innovative solutions for the containment and delivery of injectable medicines. Before joining West, Dr. Harry was Global Head of Global Demographics and Diversity at GlaxoSmithKline. In this role, she built a comprehensive framework facilitating diverse and clinically relevant representation in clinical trials across the company's portfolio. Her tenure at GSK also saw her excel as a Clinical Development Director within the Respiratory Therapeutic Area, where she managed both early and late phase assets from candidate selection through to approval and successful commercial launch. Her time at FDA saw her in multiple leadership roles, including Respiratory Devices Branch Chief and Acting Clinical Deputy Director at CDRH. Dr. Harry's clinical experience extends to being an Attending Intensivist at Inova Fairfax Hospital's ICU, a Level 1 trauma center in Falls Church, VA. Dr. Harry earned her MD and PhD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Yale University. Her specialized training in pulmonary and critical care medicine was through a combined fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and the University of Pennsylvania.
